Senior/Project Engineer (Mechanical)

Responsibilities:

    • Design mechanical systems and components for waste-to-energy facilities, including combustion chambers, boilers, turbines, and heat recovery systems. Optimize system performance for maximum energy efficiency and reliability.
    • Evaluate and select equipment and machinery for waste processing, such as shredders, conveyors, and sorting systems. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to procure equipment that meets project requirements and budget constraints.
    • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance waste conversion efficiency and reduce environmental impact. Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed modifications or upgrades.
    • Manage mechanical engineering aspects of waste-to-energy projects, including scope definition, resource allocation, and scheduling. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for waste management and environmental protection. Coordinate with regulatory agencies to obtain permits and approvals as needed.
    • Plan and oversee testing and commissioning activities to validate system performance and safety. Conduct quality inspections and audits to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.

Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
    • Previous experience in mechanical design and project management
    • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solidworks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, CFD).
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
